Falklands 25th Commemorative Event
Remembering events of 25 years ago
BAE Systems is supporting the events being staged by the UK's Ministry of Defence to commemorate 25 years of the Falklands Conflict.
As is well known, the Harrier aircraft, designed and manufactured by BAE Systems, made a vital contribution in the Falklands and is still operated by the Royal Air Force today.
Activities planned for 17th June include a parade, drumhead ceremony and a march-past in Horse Guard's Parade in London. Thousands of people are expected to watch from the Mall and St James's Park with many millions more viewing coverage on BBC television. A flypast down the Mall showcasing a recently restored Vulcan bomber will provide a fitting culmination to the occasion.
