Line of Business Description:

The Electronic Warfare Line of Business (LOB) encompasses infrared countermeasures, electronic systems product support, radio frequency electronic warfare, information operations, information management, signal acquisition, direction finding, signal recognition, digital signal processing, and threat analysis.  The LOB brings domain expertise in electronic attack, electronic protection, and electronic warfare support.

Programs include advanced radar warning; radar jamming; electronic warfare systems; and electronic combat and self-protection systems. For example, it provides the electronic countermeasures suite for the U.S. Air Force’s F-22 Raptor aircraft and is the lead electronic warfare system integrator for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Its Integrated Defensive Electronic Radio Frequency Countermeasures (IDECM) system protects U.S. Navy F/A-18E/F aircraft against radar-guided missiles. Its Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures (ATIRCM) is the next-generation, directable, laser and lamp-based countermeasure that protects aircraft against heat-seeking missile threats—and the advanced sensors in the ATIRCM’s counterpart Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) provide missile warning capabilities.

The LOB is also in Phase 3 of the Department of Homeland Security’s Counter-MANPADS (Man Portable Air Defense System) multiphase system design and development program to determine the suitability of a laser-based systems for commercial airlines.

Additionally, the LOB combines it experience in signal processing and data management with an in-depth knowledge of worldwide signal environments. It supplies systems that meet customers’ mission requirements in all aspects of active and passive signal exploitation and signal attack. Programs include Compass Call, Adaptive Joint C4ISR Node (AJCN), Air Force Mission Support System (AFMSS), the AN/USQ-113 countermeasures system, Tactical SIGNIT Payload (TSP), and the First Responder Interoperable Communications System.
