Surface Fleet Solutions has developed a strong environmental capability in engineering, science and management to be the lead provider of environmental technical expertise to the UK defence maritime sector. This includes providing consultancy through all the stages in the life cycle of naval products and services: concept, assessment and demonstration of designs, in-service operation and disposal through regeneration, sale or dismantling. With this extensive capability, we have produced the first IMO Green Passport and lead on Ship Recycling for UK Government owned vessels.
