RTM modelling stage 3

RTM modelling stage 3

BAE Systems uses world-class modelling and simulation capability that quickly and accurately provides design validation and verification and expedites subsystem/system integration.

State of the art simulation and modelling are the backbone of successful technology.

Using our multiple Visual Integration Labs, the design is built from concept and then to integration using the modelling systems that are fully integrated with our emulation and prototype development systems in the Systems Integration Facility. This system has vast databases to draw upon and makes the creation of a fully compliant objective system fast and affordable.

The Advanced Technology Centre is the custodian of BAE Systems benchmark aerodynamics models. Built over years of experience within the aerospace business, we can offer a comprehensive modelling and simulation capability spanning low speed civil aircraft to transonic applications.

Mathematical Modelling researches, develops and acquires techniques and computer codes to enable the prediction, measurement and analysis of the physical characteristics of products and manufacturing processes, and to enable optimisation of designs. We also research, develop and apply novel technologies to improve the design process (e.g. Grid technologies for e-engineering) and to enable advanced performance of future products (e.g. flow control). Examples of our modelling activities include radar cross section prediction, electromagnetic compatibility-susceptibility and hazards, aerodynamics, fluid-structure interactions and high-velocity impacts.

See the links on the right for products and services using the Modelling and Simulation capability.
