BAE SYSTEMS Introduces Geospatial Exploitation Products Business

BAE Systems Mission Solutions has introduced its commercial Geospatial eXploitation Products™ line of business with worldwide direct sales of SOCET SET® and VITec® software applications.

Headquartered in San Diego, California, Geospatial eXploitation Products has regional sales offices covering the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia, Asia, and the Pacific Rim region.

The utilisation of and reliance on geospatial information is increasing every day. We provide our customers with world-class products that generate accurate geospatial information from a variety of data sources. Our new name highlights our core competency and focus on products and services that meet the needs of our customers, said Kevin Malone, general manager, Geospatial eXploitation Products.

SOCET SET is the premier photogrammetric software application for geospatial data extraction used in digital mapping, geographic information systems (GIS) and three-dimensional (3D) visualisation or simulation applications. SOCET SET also generates very accurate, highly detailed geospatial data to support a wide range of civil applications, such as commercial mapping, urban planning and the development of city, state/province, or federal GIS information. For government users, it supports geospatial intelligence for a wide range of military, intelligence, homeland security, and other geospatial exploitation applications.

VITec Electronic Light Table (ELT) is an imagery analysis software product that permits users to work with a wide array of data to ingest, analyse, exploit, and generate detailed products from imagery sources.
