BAE Systems Appoints New Strategy Director

Alison Wood has been appointed as Group Strategic Development Director with effect from 1 January, 2005.

In this new role, Alison will provide leadership for overall strategic business development across the Group.

Alison will have responsibility for Group Strategy and Planning, Future Systems and Research & Technology, together with existing NEC activities and will be a member of the Executive Committee.

Alison joined BAE Systems in 1999 as Managing Director, Future Systems after holding various positions within British Aerospace since 1991.

Prior to this Alison was a strategy consultant with Outram Cullinan & Company and a research associate with Booz Allen & Hamilton Inc.

Alison holds an MA in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford and an MBA from Harvard.
