Company giving

BAE Systems' Company giving activity forms part of the company's corporate responsibility programme, and encompasses charitable donations including the Charity Challenge scheme, sponsorships and heritage projects.

As a defence and engineering company, we focus our donations and sponsorships activities in three main areas. These are; supporting the armed forces and their families, education projects with a science focus and the preservation of BAE Systems' heritage and that of the armed forces. BAE Systems also engages in sponsorship activities which support the development of its business. The full BAE Systems Company Giving strategy is available here.

BAE Systems' Company Giving Policy defines the terms, procedures for the business and includes an application form for sponsorships and donations. All sponsorship and donation activity over ?10,000 or equivalent must have prior approval from the Giving Committee at group level. The structure of the Giving Committees is explained here too.

BAE Systems also engages in technology partnerships when appropriate for the business. Currently BAE Systems in the UK is a technology partner with UK Sport helping British athletes achieve sporting success.

Using the BAE Systems Logo

Wherever possible use the Logo in Corporate Red with white letters. If this is not possible, use one of the variations in the Our Brand Identity section of the Brand Standards. If none of these can be used, use the company name only but do not try to approximate the Logo by spacing capitals. Use the following two options:

1 If you just require the name only, use upper and lower case in ITC Franklin Gothic Demi.
2 If the name is being used as part of another badge or emblem, use the case of the title within the badge, even if that is capitals. Use ITC Franklin Gothic for any lettering. Do not try to incorporate the full Logo version into another badge or emblem.

Please note that this is an occasional use only to be used if there is no option to use a correct Logo variation.
