Low cost targeting system (LCTS)
The Low-cost targeting system is a lightweight gimbaled sensor system that can provide target recognition, identification, rangefinding, and targeting, all within one package.
It accomplishes these tasks through the integration of the following sensors:
- Uncooled infrared camera
- Gated imaging camera
- Laser designator/rangefinder/
illuminator - Integrated GPS
- Digital compass
The LCTS can be modified with the appropriate sensors to meet many types of mission requirements. The system is adaptable for use on both ground and airborne platforms.
