The Electromagnetic Engineering & Test Department is responsible for all Electromagnetic Design, Test and Clearance activities associated will all the companies product range.

Predominantly developed to support military aircraft programmes the team has the capability to support all systems, whether on land, sea or air.

The Electronic Warfare Test Facility contains an extensive electromagnetically shielded room at its core in which a target under test can be simultaneously illuminated by numerous microwave antennas around the chamber to create a virtual battlefield for the target and any Defensive Aids Sub system.

The facility also operates a full threat lightning generator to simulate full scale lightning strike to any target.

Specialist test activities:

  • Electronic Warfare Test Facility
  • Electromagnetics Hazards Facility
  • Stealth and Installed Antenna Performance Measurement Facility
  • Lightning Strike
  • Computational Electromagnetics
